Today the church supports full-time workers in South East Asia, the Middle East, the USA (a ministry that reaches into Uganda and Rwanda) and an intern in South Africa.

Through a member ministry, Living Water Development, the church has also been exposed to projects in Myanmar, Nth Thailand, Uganda, Ethiopia and East Timor.

Later in the year members of the church will be involved in short-term mission trips to places such as Kenya, Haiti, PNG and India.

Since 2006 Barrabool Hills has partnered with Christ’s Restoration Centre Churches in the Kawangware (K) Slum, Nairobi, and also Kibachenje in the Bungoma region of Western Kenya.   A number of projects have been implemented in these communities, including the provision of free medical clinics and health and hygiene instruction in both areas, and a new well to provide clean water in K.  Further details on the partnership with CRC can be found here.

Youth E-mail

The Barrabool Hills youth ministry incorporates all youth from years 7 – 12. We seek to disciple and empower our youth to be living examples of God’s grace and love to those around them. Led by youth pastor Mark Gellie, Barrabool Hills youth has about 80 regular attendees who love to have a great time at church with their friends. Our regular program is on Friday nights from 7pm, and is a great time of fun games, bible study and just ‘hanging out’. Each school term there are also a number of other activities to get involved in, such as the annual Jelly Arvo, gender nights and a massive youth camp. Our youth are also involved in United, a combined Geelong youth group event.

So by showing “The Way Thru’ Play...”, our focus is for parents/carers to bring their little ones to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Way, and give them access to all the blessings of the kingdom of Heaven, through the medium of play.
