PlayWay is a program for families with pre-school aged children. The program's Vision is based upon John 14:6 “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”.
So by showing “The Way Thru’ Play...”, our focus is for parents/carers to bring their little ones to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Way, and give them access to all the blessings of the kingdom of Heaven, through the medium of play.
PlayWay is held on Thursday morning, between 10:00am-11.30am at the Church centre. The program is limited to 14 families per session, ensuring less noise, no waiting for popular activities and better opportunities for conversation between parent/carers. Cost is $25.00 per family, per term
A typical session program involves:
Free play time: The child moves to any activity/station he/she desires. Play activities are vast, including trikes, climbing, tunnels, see-saws, trampoline, kitchen corner, supermarket, trains, cars, dress ups, jig saws, books, threading, play dough, painting, glue/craft, coloured rice, coloured sand, water play, etc
Music time: We sing Christian children’s songs and practice a bible memory verse. We often use musical instruments and/or a parachute.
Morning tea: (Each child brings their own morning tea)
Bible Story time: Including memory verse time, and related craft activity
Twice per year the playgroups meet for our morning tea in someone's home, giving the parent/carer an opportunity to have a really good chat with other members of the playgroup in a much smaller setting. CONTACT: Coordinator Marlene Gear via the Church Office .
